80 Mesh & 200 Mesh
Xanthan gum is a hydrocolloid and commonly used as a thickener, emulsifier and stabilizer in food and beverage applications. We offer two mesh sizes, 80 and 200 mesh. 80 mesh is more frequently used in baking applications while 200 mesh is much finer and popular in liquid applications such as sauces and salad dressing due to its solubility.
We source the highest quality xanthan gum by working with foreign manufacturers that adhere to our foreign supplier verification program. As a commonly used product in conjunction with gluten free flours, our customers find it more cost effective for us to ship mixed truckloads of various flours, stabilizers, proteins, and oils from our New Jersey facility.
For xanthan gum in particular, many of our customers choose to sign annual contracts due to market volatility and long lead times from origin. We work closely with our customer’s sales, procurement, and logistics teams to ensure product is delivered on time, preventing unnecessary shut downs and postponed production runs.
