Sunflower seed protein powder is a light tan color, very fine, high in protein and low in fat. Sunflower seed protein powder is popular in baked goods, bars, snacks, and baking mixes. Due to its consistency, it is also a popular additive in protein mixes, drink mixes and nutraceuticals as a protein boost. To produce our sunflower seed protein powder, we start first by sourcing the highest quality raw material. We work directly with farmers and processors from all over the globe, carefully selecting those that meet our strict quality standards. We then import the seed direct to our SQF certified, allergen free facility for processing. Sunflower protein powder is made by cold-pressing whole sunflower kernels to extract the oil. Once the oil is removed, the resulting pressed seed, or “press cake”, is milled into a powder. Our line of protein powders are more homogenous in color and consistency when compared to their full fat flour counterparts. |
